When You Have the Power to Do Good

There are moments when doing good requires very little from us—perhaps a little time, a helping hand, a kind word, or simply choosing not to look away.

Sometimes we have the ability to make someone’s burden lighter, yet we hesitate, postpone, or assume someone else will help.

When good is within our power to do, we should not withhold it from those who need it. Doing good is not always about grand gestures.

Often, it is found in the small opportunities placed before us each day.We may not be able to help everyone, but when we can help someone, we should not allow indifference or delay to keep us from doing what is right.

“When it is within your power to do good, do not withhold it from those who need it.”
