When Justice Has Double Standards

It is easy to speak confidently about justice, fairness, and what others should or shouldn’t do.
But true integrity begins when we apply those same standards to ourselves.
It is uncomfortable to realize that some people can speak passionately about fairness while quietly creating exceptions for themselves. The principles they strongly defend somehow become flexible when they are the ones being judged.
Justice means little if it only applies when it is convenient.
Perhaps real character is not found in how loudly we preach our principles, but in how consistently we live by them.
