Faith, Disbelief, and Respect

People arrive at their beliefs through different experiences, questions, convictions, and ways of understanding the world.
A person may have strong reasons to believe, while another may have strong reasons not to. Disagreement does not make one person superior to the other.
We can hold firmly to what we believe without mocking someone who sees life differently.
True wisdom is not only having conviction—it is having the humility to respect another mind without surrendering your own beliefs.
Faith and disbelief can both come with conviction. Neither gives us the right to mock the mind that chose differently.
