The fact that someone works for us does not make them less deserving of dignity or respect.
Every person has their own struggles, responsibilities, feelings, and boundaries. Being in a position to employ or direct someone should never become an excuse to speak harshly, cross boundaries, or take advantage of their willingness to serve.
True character is often revealed in how we treat people who depend on us—not just those who can benefit us.
Respect should not be reserved for people with power, status, or influence. It should be extended to everyone.
