The Humility of True Wisdom

Wisdom is not the ability to have an answer for everything. It is the humility to recognize that our understanding is always limited.

We may understand a situation from our own experience, but someone else may see it from a perspective we have never considered. What seems obvious to us may not be the whole story.

Confidence in what we know can be valuable, but overconfidence can close the door to learning. When we assume that we understand everything and that others have nothing to teach us, we stop listening—and we stop growing.

True wisdom leaves room for questions, different perspectives, and the possibility that we may be wrong. The wiser we become, the more we realize how much remains beyond our understanding.

“True wisdom is knowing that you can never understand everything.”
