The Poverty of Making Others Feel Inferior

Wealth, power, and luxury are not wrong in themselves. They can be the results of hard work, opportunity, and achievement. But the way we use them reveals the kind of people we are.
When we display what we possess to make others feel inferior, we turn our achievements into instruments of humiliation. Instead of allowing our success to inspire, encourage, or benefit others, we use it to create distance and establish superiority.
True greatness does not need an audience to prove its worth. A person of genuine character can enjoy success without looking down on those who have less.
Wealth may elevate our lifestyle, power may increase our influence, and luxury may improve our comfort. But none of these can make us superior as human beings.
The real measure of a person is not how high they rise, but whether they feel the need to push others down.
“True foolishness is using what you possess to make others feel inferior.”
