It is easy to look at someone’s decisions from the outside and wonder, “Why would they do that?”
But we rarely see the whole story.
We don’t know the battles they are fighting, the circumstances they are carrying, the choices they were forced to make, or the things they are silently dealing with.
If you haven’t lived their circumstances, be gentle with your judgment.
Sometimes, what looks like a wrong choice from the outside is simply a choice made from a reality we have never experienced.
Empathy begins where judgment ends.
