The Rarest Empathy

We often think empathy means understanding how someone feels. But perhaps there is a quieter, deeper kind of empathy—respecting what they choose.
Every heart has a voice:
a yes that deserves to be heard,
a no that deserves to be accepted,
an opinion that deserves space,
and boundaries that deserve respect.
Sometimes, empathy is simply knowing when to listen, when to step back, and when to let another person’s choice be their own.
The rarest empathy is not changing someone’s mind, but respecting their right to have one.
