Somewhere Along the Way, We Forget Ourselves

There was a time when we were carefree. We laughed easily, found joy in little things, played without worrying about tomorrow, and allowed ourselves to simply be.Then life happened.

Responsibilities grew. Schedules became crowded. There were bills to manage, meals to plan, work to finish, children to care for, and countless things that always seemed to need our attention.

Slowly, without realizing it, the inner child who once knew how to play became the adult who only knew how to manage. We become so busy taking care of everyone else that we sometimes forget to take care of the person we once were.Being responsible doesn’t mean we have to lose our liveliness.

It’s okay to laugh for no reason. It’s okay to be silly. It’s okay to do something simply because it makes you happy. It’s okay to have a little fun without feeling guilty.Life doesn’t have to be only about responsibilities.

Don’t let adulthood convince you that growing up means giving up the joyful person you once were.Sometimes, we don’t need to find a new version of ourselves. We simply need to find the old, happy version we left behind.

💛“Somewhere along the way, the inner child stopped playing and started managing everyone’s schedules.”
